Soccer Slam

Nintendo's old arch enemies Sega, now making games for Nintendo, have surely been listening to what the public wants. Soccer slam is a 1-4 player game which involves taking kickboxing to the stadium. All rules are dropped and its become more of a party thing than a sport game. The field is smaller, the players are given a cartoony feel without cel-shading. The teams are all based on one "element" like the firey El Fuego or the electric Volton. Each team has three players with there own special stadium to be unlocked. The also have a "power ups" related to there team element like a firey kick and so forth. It features 5 modes of play including Quick start,Exhibition, Tournament, Training and Quest. The Quest mode is your single player focus going through tournaments and earning cash for bonuses. Being GameCube, it is sporting some nice graphics with an eccentric feel and real time lighting. It has no release date yet but it looks like it could make a challenge to Super Smash Bros Melee's multiplayer fun.

Features:

·Teams of 3 with an element basis.
·Eccentric cartoony graphics with some great special move effects.
·Individual stadiums relating to the team and others.
·Each team gets its own fan club who appear at all there games and react accordingly.


So while there's no Aussie release date it is said to arrive shortly after the systems launch and this is definitely on my must buy list.
