Mario Sunshine
Well it's no surprise that the GameCube would have a Mario based game, given that Mario is one, if not the biggest video games mascot around. Mario games have sold millions and millions of games. He has been on consoles ranging from the NES to GB to N64. He has been on them all. Nintendo's latest Mario game is called Mario Sunshine and is one of the most anticipated GameCube game to date.
Features
· One word, Mario.
· Huge 3D worlds.
· Interactive characters and objects.
· Classic Mario enemies as well as hopefully some new ones.
· A water gadget that is strapped on Mario's back used to blast paint away that falls from the sky and enemies.
· Mario displays emotion and facial expressions eg. Sweat drips off his face and he wipes his eyebrow
when he sweats.
· Colourful graphics.
· Real time lighting effects and reflections.
· Feature Mario's good old pal, Yoshi.
· Other things yet to be announced.
Shigeru Miyamoto showed a clip of Mario Sunshine at Spaceworld 2001 and it was very impressive. It showed Mario running away from enemy's, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, kicking a ball, assorted jumps, and other stuff. Very little is known about Mario Sunshine, but you have to collect sunshine coins for some reason and blast paint that falls from the sky with a water filled pack on Mario's back. There isn't really much to say about this game because so little is known about it. I recommend you download this clip to get the idea of what Mario Sunshine has to offer. Shigeru said their would be a playable demo of Mario Sunshine at this years E3 so you should see more screens + info on this game then. The game is going to be released in Summer 2002 in Japan so I am hoping for a Christmas release here is Oz.
Anticipation Rating: 100%
