Legends Of Wrestling 2

Well this is the second series to the saga that is Legends of Wrestling. When I first heard about the original LOW, I thought to myself this is a must get wrestling game. It featured all the legends of the business from Hulk Hogan to Terry Funk. After the game was released the reviews started to flood in and the game wasn't as good as first anticipated. Well Acclaim are back with a sequel which should hopefully fix the originals wrong doings.

LOW2 features a massive roster of 65 wrestlers. There are newcomers in the sequel such as Rowdy Roddy Piper, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Big John Studd, Sid Vicious, "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and Andy Kaufman. All the wrestlers from the original except Rob Van Dam are back making this a very big list of grapplers to choose from. Players also have the choice of picking between 3 costume for each wrestler. There are also some new match types including 6 and 8 man Elimination Bouts, Cage, Battle Royal, Ladder and 3 and 4-way dances also added is the never before seen $15,000 Body Slam Challenge with Big John Studd.

Visually, LOW2 has been buffed up a bit from the original with more marked textures, larger wrestlers, bigger and better crowds, more damage and bleeding. The wrestlers still have the comic arcade looking style that was shown in LOW. Acclaim has also added cloth and hair technology which enhances the realism of the wrestlers' movements.

The game still plays like the original with the ISP being advanced a bit more to the original. The game should still play much like the original with its one-button combinations and reversals. Expect to pull off all of the moves from LOW, including the basic attacks, grapple, counters, quick grapple buttons, and some new moves for the newer wrestlers. Also included in LOW2 are the signature entrances of each wrestler, each one using new music composed by "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart. The game also takes advantage of the DVD format which features unseen DVD footage such as wrestler interviews. The create-a-player is also back with more choices of clothing ect to choose from. The biggest update to the game though is the All-new storyline and career modes, which allowing players to battle throughout the United States and the world for the respect of promoters and fans while fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world.

All in all Legends Of Wrestling will be a very good Wrestling game with new moves, wrestlers, match types and just overall improvement over Legends Of Wrestling should make this title worth a look.
