GameCube

Well hopefully all you Nintendo fans out there have already purchased you GameCube but for those who haven't I hope this review will show you the light. Sure you could buy a PS2 or Xbox which are good systems in their own right but they are for entertainment not pure, hardcore gameplay. The GameCube doesn't have a DVD player. Why? Simply because you wont even consider watching movies when there are so many brilliant games to play. It doesn't play CDs either. Well who actually plays c.ds on a video game system. Answer = No one. What a load of sh*t. So as a video games system, does the GameCube rate well. Continue on with this review and you'll find out.

LOOK/STYLE

Not an important part of the system but the machine looks fine. It come in two colors, Black and Indigo. It has a simple yet typical Nintendo feel to it. The operating system (where you set the time ect) is easy to use and effective. 9/10

CONTROLLER

I won't go on about the controller much as there is an indepth review which tells you much more. The buttons are placed nicely although the Z button has been speculated upon I haven't had any major trouble yet. The controller is so bloody comfortable it fits like a glove. The analogue is much better then that of the 64 and the D pad is good to. The R and L buttons are incredible and the X,Y,A,B button are fine also. 9.5/10

GRAPHICS/SOUND

Absolutely incredible. Luigi's Mansion has the best light physics I have ever seen. Star Wars RS:RL has the best overall graphics I have seen and WaveRace has the best water physics out there. The GC boast incredible graphic capabilities and it really does show. You will be stunned when you first lay eyes upon a GC power. The new CD format means fantastic sound and it really does show if you listen to the quality of it all. 10/10

GAMES

Nintendo are the best 1st party developers around. They are almost incapable of making a bad game and they also have Rare who make some of my favorite games (Perfect Dark,Conker, Banjo to name just a couple). There are 22 games out now on the GameCube and I own Luigi's Mansion and Super Smash Brothers Melee. Luigi's Mansion is really fun and boast the GameCubes power. Although a little short I recommend it. Smash Bros is near perfect. So much replay value and an awesome game overall. You must get Smash Bros Melee. There is also Tony Hawk 3, Pikmin, WaveRace, Star Wars, Cel - Damage, Sonic and many more so there will be a game for you. YOU WANT MORE, well if you think those games are good , the games that are coming will make your jaw drop. In my opinion, the games that are on the way are already much better then those that are out. Check out this list of must buy games: Super Mario Sunshine, The Legend Of Zelda, Wario Land, Mario Party 4, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong Racing, Star Fox Adventures + there in the future there will be: Perfect Dark Zero (ohhh yeah) , Banjo 3, Conker 2 and many more. ABSOLUTLEY BRILLIANT. 11/10

OVERALL

I brought my GameCube on May 17th and now have 2 games and wanting more. I have no regrets whatsoever and I recommend all people buying a GameCube. Nintendo have been around much longer then Microsoft and Sony as far as games go and their experience in gaming really shows through the Nintendo GameCube. If you are a 'real' gamer you will already have a GameCube. If you don't have one, you owe it to yourself to go out and buy one. 10/10
